What is a vault fabric?
Vault fabrics differ from the full fabric assortment due to the limited availability. This is a space where we have a select quantity or timeframe that the fabric is available to use on a future custom or website style.
This is a fabric that must be pre-purchased before using it in a bag.
Each vault is held by our team until you choose to use it.
How do I use it after I purchase it?
After you receive your vault order number, it is ready to be used by:
- selecting an inventory bag under 'add-ons & customizations' - custom - include a previously purchased vault lining $0. Add the order number and the textile color you would like for the bag.
- online customizer, choose the 'vault option' and enter your order number.
- phone-in or email a custom order by following the steps on the design process page.
How long will it take to make my bag if I decide to use my vault?
- The custom production timeframe (even if you purchase on in stock bag, as it must be made with the vault) is currently 10 - 16 weeks.
I no longer want my vault fabric, can I give it to another person?
- If you decide to transfer the vault to another client, please email with both parties on the email to
service@roughandtumbledesign.com. The vault can only be transferred once.
How long do I have to use my vault?
- The vault must be used within 6 months of purchase.
I purchased a vault size for a large or XL bag. Can I use it in a small?
- The vault purchased must be for the size indicated.
